On July 8, 2020 Fahrusha and Alex Tsakiris recorded their podcasts simultaneously which is a first for “Shattered Reality Podcast”. Alex’s “Skeptiko” is featured in video on YouTube, where he showed a picture of Fahrusha on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, much to her surprise.

Then primarily they went on to discuss the thesis of Alex’s new book Why Evil Matters: How Science Religion & Spirituality Have Failed Us. Fahrusha pressed the point that to truly understand evil, one must look beyond humans to other sentient beings including especially mammals, but really much farther to beings such as trees and astronomical bodies like Our Sun. Consciousness pervades the Universe. The Universe is Consciousness.

Alex, while more human oriented, explained a good deal of his position, using as an example ritual sexual abuse of children. No sane person would not see that as evil. They also talked about religion and how differently people interpret religious scripture such as the Bible. Fahrusha felt that to get the most accurate view it would be instructive to study it in the ancient Aramaic form. She also pointed out that Satan as it is now defined, did not make an appearance as the ultimate evil in the early versions of the Old Testament and the duality with the Supreme Being is a more modern concept.

Alex has a brilliant way of encouraging people to expound on their ideas. They talked about the need or lack thereof for religion in general. While some people like Fahrusha and Alex spend lots of time focusing on extended consciousness, others are focused on careers like baseball and dentistry. Fahrusha felt that some people looked to others to provide good spiritual guidance, many religious leaders may have not provided the best possible stewardship. Much as one would not want to entrust their teeth to a less than superlative dentist perhaps some of these folks are not being well served in the spiritual area.

They also discussed some of the guests they both interviewed.

Please feel free to post polite comments on this page. We want to hear from you.

#78 Mack Maloney’s Haunted Universe

Mack Maloney, prolific author whose latest book is Mack Maloney’s Haunted Universe.

Fahrusha welcomed Mack Maloney back to “Shattered Reality Podcast” for his second interview on our show. He introduced his new book Mack Maloney’s Haunted Universe. It is a compendium of paranormal and odd stories he has collected over many years and is rather like a Charles Fort book in that he gleaned many of the brief accounts from newspaper reports. He has been a paranormal researcher for quite a few years specializing in he experiences of people in the military, airplane pilots, and clandestine agents. He has a radio show of his own called Mack Maloney’s Military X-Files featuring the enigmatic Juan-Juan and the mysterious Commander Cobra.

We spoke about some of his and my favorite accounts from the book and about paranormal portal areas, including a truly fascinating one I’d never heard of in Russia a bit east of Moscow where frequent UFO sightings are the most mundane of all the high strangeness there. We also conversed about everyone’s loss of privacy due to spying equipment being built into all of our consumer goods as well as super spy satellites that can identify minute details from above such as how many buttons there are on the shirt you are wearing. Much of this spying is carried on by corporations to get one to purchase their products.

Mack Maloney has written more than fifty novels including military thrillers, men’s action-adventure, science fiction and historical fiction. Mack is a native of Boston and a graduate of Emerson College. He has also worked as a consultant to a company working for the U.S. government on anti-terrorist programs.

We again missed Kate Valentine on this episode but she wanted me to assure all her fans that she is OK.

#76 Grant Cameron UFOs and Consciousness

Grant Cameron, veteran UFO researcher and prolific author.

To listen click HERE.

Fahrusha was very pleased to welcome veteran researcher in UFOs and consciousness, Grant Cameron. Our guest is someone whose career I have been following for the past 15 years. He is a hardworking, resolute and dedicated researcher from Manitoba, Canada.

Grant began his interest in UFOs in 1975 with his observation of a recurrent UFO called “Charley RedStar” in Carman Manitoba. After that he was bitten by the UFO bug. The Kate Valentine UFO show and Viewpoints with Kate Valentine (the predecessors of “Shattered Reality Podcast”) have archived 3 shows with Grant Cameron which can be accessed at atlanticcoastufos.com by putting his name into the guest selector on the right on the main page.

He researched the work of the late Wilbert Smith who headed the Canadian UFO study Project Magnet. After that he was led to investigate Dr. Eric Walker, and Dr. Robert Sarbacher who he believed were the American keepers of the secret. Following this he founded website presidentialufo.com. He filed freedom of information requests (foia requests), researched across America at the official libraries of past presidents, finding particular interest in connection between the Clintons and the (Laurence) Rockefeller UFO Initiative.

More recently he had what he called a download from a non-human source about the connectedness of everything, the non-physical manifestation of UFOs and the primacy of consciousness.

He has researched the mystery surrounding To The Stars Academy and ATTIP, Bob Bigelow and the Skinwalker Ranch.

He has also written quite a number of books on these subjects including Managing Magic: The Government’s UFO Disclosure Plan and Charlie Red Star: True Reports of One of North America’s Biggest UFO Sightings.

#75 Eric Wargo Precognition

Time Loops by Eric Wargo

To listen click HERE

Fahrusha welcomed Eric Wargo, author of Time Loops and The Nightshirt blog to “Shattered Reality Podcast.” Time Loops is an intensive look at precognition. Dr. Wargo covers premonitions, presentiments and dreams. He believes that precognition, literally “knowing ahead”, is a product of retrocausation. Retrocausation is a theory in physics wherein the effect precedes its cause. This is a radical and fairly new idea that is gaining more acceptance. Simply put, the future affects the present and the past, creating a loop in time. It fits into the logic that time can move backwards as well as forwards as postulated in theoretical physics. Because we are biological entities who seem to move only one way in time inexorably from birth to death, it is difficult to imagine that causation can move in the opposite direction. Yet in terms of theoretical physics this should be possible.

Quantum computing apparently uses retrocausation in its functioning.

Remote viewing, specifically associative remote viewing relies entirely on retrocausation. One is pre-cognizing the outcome of a sports game, for instance.

Almost one hundred years ago, J.W. Dunne wrote a seminal book on precognitive dreams, An Experiment with Time, which changed the way of thinking about prescient dreams and introduced to the public the idea of retrocausality to precognition. Eric told us of a “Dunne” dream he had about 9/11 involving two identical square concrete mosques. After Eric signed off, Fahrusha read the 9/11 accounts from listeners Mark, Nurse Nancy, Suzanne Evans Morris, Ph.D., and intuitive Greg; and related some of her own experiences in an abbreviated form.

We sincerely hope Kate Valentine will be with us for our next exciting podcast.

Author Eric Wargo, Ph.D. His book is Time Loops and his blog is The Nightshirt.

#74 Dr. James McClenon and SORRAT

Dr. James McClenon, sociologist and author of The Entity Letters, A Sociologist on the Trail of a Supernatural Mystery.

To listen click HERE.

Kate Valentine and Fahrusha welcomed Dr. James McClenon to Shattered Reality Podcast.  He has written a book called The Entity Letters, A Sociologist on the Trail of a Supernatural Mystery. It is the story of a group of individuals, the SORRAT sitter group (Society for Research on Rapport and Telekinesis) who engaged in 50 years telekinetic experimentation. The witnessed effects included table tipping and levitation, poltergeist phenomena, earthquake effects and rapping. Most amazingly then entities purportedly communicated with the members of the SORRAT group by mail! Interestingly just about everyone who actually sat in with the SORRAT group over the course of time came to accept the phenomena as real, whereas everyone who did not experience the phenomena in person, tended to believe that it was impossible and therefore, falsified.
Dr. James McClenon faithfully documents his experiences with the group from the viewpoint of a sociologist. He was unable to discover any plausible method by which all of the phenomena could have been falsified. Though any individual phenomenon could have been rigged, all of the phenomena together would have taken enormous skill and the co-operation of a number of individuals over there course of many years to falsify. He did not find any collusion between the participants, nor any sustained motivation to collude. Some of the phenomena happened at various locations, specifically occasions of the “rapping” which even occurred at McClenon’s home.

Shattered Reality Podcast invites listeners to send in their paranormal experiences which relate to the incidents surrounding the events of September 11, 2001. We will attempt to deal with this in a very respectful and tasteful manner. It is possible for listeners to relate their experiences directly on the show or to submit a written account to be read on the show. All accounts and questions should be emailed to fahrusha@fahrusha.com.

#73 Calvin Parker & the Pascagoula Incident

Calvin Parker abductee and author of Pascagoula: The Closest Encounter, My Story, Calvin Parker

Kate Valentine and Fahrusha welcome Calvin Parker, the gentleman who was abducted with the late Charles Hickson by unknown beings in Pascagoula Mississippi. With us also was Terry Lovelace, a very informed abductee and previous guest, to ask some additional questions. We are very happy Calvin has come forward with his experience, especially since Charles Hickson has passed away. Now we have another voice out here to explain what transpired in Pascagoula in 1973. The incident was a rather straightforward and classic abduction scenario, but nonetheless fascinating. In his book Calvin also details what he went through after the abduction and the steps he took to try and understand what exactly the reality of these beings and their craft were. No one can ever know what someone else has experienced, but I believe Calvin and Terry are giving their accounts as truthfully as possible. We can learn something about the nature of our place in the Universe from reading their books. We need to be constantly reminded that humans see only a fraction of the electromagnetic bandwidth around us.

Calvin’s book is Pascagoula: The Closest Encounter, My Story, Calvin Parker and Terry’s book is Incident at Devil’s Den. We thank Philip Mantle for his participation in making this show possible. We invite our listeners to share their experiences on the show.

Errata: At the beginning of the podcast, Fahrusha said “Calvin” when referring to Travis Walton, who she refers to as having given an address at the MUFON symposium on July 29, 2018. The correct addresses for our websites are: https://shatteredrealitypodcast.wordpress.com and http://shatteredrealitypodcast.com.

#72 George P. Hansen the Trickster

George P. Hansen, author of The Trickster and the Paranormal.

Fahrusha and Kate Valentine were pleased to welcome illustrious author and paranormal investigator George P. Hansen to “Shattered Reality Podcast”. There was so much to speak about that it was difficult to fit it into an hour and fifteen minutes. Hansen looks at the paranormal from the view of anthropology and skepticism but never debunking. He views many of the phenomena of the paranormal as being affected and sometimes caused by the Trickster. He gives two compatible definitions of who or what the Trickster is, the first of which concerns the folk traditions of many, if not all, indigenous cultures around the world. Some of the famous folk tricksters are Loki of Norse mythology, the Coyote of the American Southwest, Iktomi (spider) of the Lakota and Ananzi (spider) of the Caribbean and Africa. These Tricksters are shapeshifters so they can appear in different guises. In his words “The trickster archetype is not designated by immediately observable physical features.  Rather it is a more abstract constellation of characteristics that is usually personified (i.e., identified with a person or animal).”  His second definition is a bit more ephemeral to explain. It includes many aspects of psi including boundary crossing, irrationality, fakery, change and instability and it is, by its very nature, non-binary.

We tackle many subjects, especially including UFOs. For instance these objects are often seen to be shapeshifting, and some might be interstellar or not, and of course they may have more than one origin and they often appear at times of great change. The purported occupants may lie to humans or their communication may seem absurd or be misunderstood. They often appear to people when those people are in altered states of consciousness, as in the liminal state.

#71 Ball Lightning and UFOs with Dr. Irena Scott

Dr. Irena Scott discusses her new book, Inside the Lightning Ball: Scientific Study of Lifelong UFO Experiences.

Kate Valentine and Fahrusha enjoyed welcoming back Irena Scott, PhD, to “Shattered Reality Podcast” for our seventy first show. Dr. Scott has written five books and the latest one, Inside the Lightning Ball: Scientific Study of Lifelong UFO Experiences, is autobiographical in that it concerns her own paranormal experiences regarding UFOs, orbs and ball lightning. She wanted to be very clear that when critics and debunkers say that scientists do not see UFOs the critics are misinformed. In the book, she also elucidates why she thinks some people are multiple experiencers.

Irena Scott started having UFO experiences as a young child in a rural farm house when an unknown glowing metallic object flew around the attic bedroom she shared with her sister. Her sister, mother and cousin corroborated the report. She had a bizarre lightning experience in Texas, where she also witnessed what was probably the famous Marfa lights. She had many UFO sightings in Ohio while working for the DIA. She recounted for us a second sighting she had while driving near Boston with her sister. Again her sister backed up the report.

I believe that Dr. Scott is doing a great service by revealing her sightings and experiences. The more credible folks that do this, the less likely experiencers will be ridiculed and maligned because of these events. No longer will scientists fear the loss of their hard-won professional positions. I especially like that she does not speculate overly much on what these phenomena might be. She is confident to say “I don’t know .” when appropriate. For instance, sometimes orbs seem to be related to electrical storms while at other times they seem more related to UFOs or even nature spirits. There is a need for these phenomena to be studied with an open mind by those that haven’t come to a premature conclusion.

#70 Rich Martini: Life Between Lives

Richard Martini, filmmaker and author of FlipSide and other works about between life experiences.

Fahrusha and Kate Valentine were happy to welcome Rich Martini, who both wrote the book FlipSide and made the film “FlipSide”, which examine the phenomena of life between lives, wherein people visit a spiritual realm between physical lives to evaluate the past life and plan the next life. The person whose work this film and book concentrates on is the late hypnotherapist Dr. Michael Newton, who passed away  in September 2016.

The late Dr. Michael Newton, hypnotherapist and author of a number of books on the “life between lives” phenomena.

In the years since his making the film “FlipSide” Rich Martini has branched out into after-death communication. However for this podcast he demonstrated with Fahrusha how the life between lives process might work. This demonstration was a total departure from our usual programming. Rich is extremely enthusiastic and upbeat. Fahrusha verifies that she had seen what might amount to her “Council” in a stadium-like setting on several deep meditations at the Monroe Institute and elsewhere. We at SRP would like to know what our listeners think about the process that Rich Martini took Fahrusha through. She did exactly what he told her at the beginning and said the first thing that came into her mind. Does this constitute proof? Our jury is out. We would like to know your opinion on this.

Fahrusha found out about Life Between Lives therapy through a client who was quite taken with it. Several years ago she read one of his books and listened to an audio from the Michael Newton Institute and she thought the idea was fascinating but frightening. She didn’t want to die and have to go to school in the afterlife. She didn’t want to come back to play parts on Earth. Having studied the works of Robert Monroe rather thoroughly, she worried that if she might be caught in what Monroe called “the belief system territories”. That references the idea that one goes to the place that one believes in after death.

In addition to FlipSide, Rich Martini’s books include It’s A Wonderful Afterlife Volumes I and II, and Hacking the Afterlife.

We were thrilled that Rich Martini came on our podcast to explain the whole process to us and as Kate Valentine opines “We are all dying to find out.” 😉

FlipSide, the book.

#69 David B. Metcalfe – Folklore of the Strange

David B. Metcalfe, Folklore of the Strange

Listen HERE

Kate Valentine and Fahrusha welcome paranormal researcher, David B. Metcalfe, to”Shattered Reality Podcast”. David is currently working with former guest, Andrew Chesnut, on a follow-up book about Santa Muerte. He is also the editor in chief of Threshold: Journal of Interdisciplinary Consciousness Studies (TJICS), a new, free, online-only, open access journal of the Windbridge Research Center. You may remember the Windbridge researchers, Dr. Julie Beischel and Mark Boccuzzi from past episodes of SRP. David studied Philosophy and Folklore at Elmhurst College in Illinois. His day job is digital communications and he is a two dimensional artist as well.

We spoke about the Santa Muerte (Saint Death) cult emanating from Mexico. The belief spans the Americas today. The tradition is widespread and runs the gamut from blessings to curses, some of which can be very violent. He and Craig Williams are involved in a book project to support Haitian artists in the Voodoo style. Listener Will had questions about the definitions of Satanism and Santa Muerte which David answered. We spoke about how we in the US seldom see dead bodies whereas in other cultures such as those of Latin America and India, it is common to see the bodies of the dead. It may not be healthy for us to almost never see a dead body because it allows Americans to deny the psychological truth of Death.

Other topics covered included UFOs, abductions, To The Stars Academy, the Christian faith healing practice of praying and talking away the fire (burns), Native American Skinwalkers, Pennsylvania Dutch Pow-Wow tradition and other communal practices. In addition, David writes for Medium and runs a website about Santa Muerte with Andrew Chesnut called Skeleton Saint.

An example of David B. Metcalfe’s art.

Note: Dennis Kuchinich is the former Senator whose name we forgot.
