On September 8, 2020 Fahrusha was very happy to welcome philosopher and friend of the show Michael Grosso Ph.D. to “Shattered Reality Podcast” for his third visit. His newest book is called Smile of the Universe: Miracles in the Age of Disbelief. Grounded in true stories and matters of fact, Michael Grosso argues for the reality of a great Mind and for the human ability to communicate with that Mind. The first amazing thing we discussed is that the word ‘smile’ and the word “miracle’ come from the same Sanskrit root ‘smi’.

Many miraculous topics were covered. Padre Pio is a 20th Century Roman Catholic Saint who is credited with abundant miracles, many of which were attested to by sources outside the Catholic Church. One of his charisms or siddhis was the ‘odor of sanctity’, a lovely smell both he and St. Joseph of Copertino were said to exude. The Padre was said to be able to read minds and bilocate.

Savants bridge the void between materialists and philosophical idealists because they exhibit skills they had no way of learning conventionally and these skills are undeniable. The Indian Ramanujan was a gifted wizard of mathematics with little traditional schooling. Derek Amato acquired high level musical skills after a head injury. Others start speaking in languages heretofore unknown to them.

We discussed axial ages and portal areas such as Western NY in 19th Century which was the birthplace of spiritualist movement and the Church of the Latter Day Saints (Mormons).

René Descartes and Isaac Newton who today are regarded as scientific materialists, both had deep spiritual influences and precognitive dreams.

On July 28, 2020 Fahrusha welcomed Sean McNamara to “Shattered Reality Podcast.” Sean is a meditation teacher, a remote viewer and an author of several books. Fahrusha and Sean discussed his autobiographical book Renegade Mystic: The Pursuit of Spiritual Freedom Through Consciousness Exploration.

Sean grew up in a family that lived in different parts of the world which was exciting, culturally expanding but sometimes led to a feeling of displacement. Because of some medical emergencies, he feared death. Once stateside, as a young adult he sought community and spiritual enlightenment, but learned that gurus can often have clay feet.

“For most of my life I’ve been seeking, spiritually,” said Sean. So with those words “Shattered Reality Podcast” listeners know they will have something very much in common with Sean McNamara.

Michael Redmond was a fascinating guest on the Listeners’ Corner portion of the show with his account of a double sighting of a UFO in NJ. It was a double sighting in two ways. He saw it with his wife and they saw it twice on the same evening. Michael is a distinguished journalist and runs the Facebook page Fringe Quest which is a roundup of paranormal news.

To end the show, Fahrusha told of an unusual case of telekinesis in her sleeping quarters. Perhaps it was her reading material or perhaps it was the late Alan Colmes.

The lamp lifted up and fell in a most unusual manner whilst Fahrusha slept.

#102 UFO Experience as a Parapsychological Event

On March 3, 2020 Fahrusha welcomed two guests to “Shattered Reality Podcast”. The first was a lovely woman, “Jennifer”, a listener who is personally known to Fahrusha. She related an amazing synchronicity involving a new baby, a generous half sister, and the half sister’s recently deceased mother. At the 1:47 point in the recording you will hear what sounds like a male voice breaking into the recording saying “eemah-ho”. We here at “Shattered Reality Podcast” have no idea of the source of this voice. “Jennifer’s” uncle had passed the night before, but she says it was not his voice. This remains a mystery.

After that otherworldly start, our second very impressive guest, was Dr. Eric Ouellet, military scientist and author of Illuminations: The UFO Experience as a Parapsychological Event, published by Anomalist Books. He has a Ph.D. in Sociology from York University, Toronto. Dr. Ouellet is an Associate Professor in the Department of Defence Studies with the Royal Military College of Canada, physically located at the Canadian Forces College in Toronto. He began the interview by explaining the reasons for the military’s interest in the UFO topic.

Eric’s personal hypothesis about UFOs stems from the sociological model of German physicist and parapsychologist, Walter von Lucadou, Ph.D. concerning poltergeist phenomena and we discussed poltergeist cases for a brief interval before applying that hypothesis to UFOs. Fahrusha mentioned that she did not think all UFO cases must of necessity stem from the same source. Perhaps a few might be extraterrestrial while others might be a co-creation of the human psyche with higher forces. Eric Ouellet did not see the need for other “higher” forces to be employed, that the human mind is capable of creating these visible artifacts which can be seen by numbers of individuals.

He went on to explain how the Rendlesham Forest incident in Great Britain over the Christmas Holiday of 1980 could be explained through the von Lucadou sociological model used for poltergeists. Fahrusha asked Eric a few enlightening questions which were sent in by Maryam, a mutual acquaintance and “Shattered Reality Podcast” listener. Dr. Ouellet is currently involved in a collaborative work about Marian apparitions. #100 David Perkins talks Cattle Mutilations and more

On February 4, 2020 Fahrusha welcomed researcher David Perkins to “Shattered Reality Podcast” to speak about his firsthand experiences with cattle mutilations and related phenomena. Firsthand experiences are most frequently the best accounts to pay attention to when investigating anomalous phenomena and Perkins has been on the scene for over forty years.

Perkins has been a member of an intentional community called Libre in Colorado since the late 60s. He built two houses on the mountain there. There were then and are still today cattle mutilations happening in that area. Every time he thought he had the solution to the phenomena, it would shift and change as if to taunt him or prove him wrong. He is still investigating today. We spoke of the roles of black helicopters, UFOs and drones in conjunction with cattle mutilations.

Today David Perkins is highly persuaded by the work of British ecologist James Lovelock regarding the Gaia Hypothesis which says that Our Mother Earth is conscious and a self-regulating system. David thinks that many unexplained phenomena could be viewed as unrecognized forces of Nature. Fahrusha added in that the Earth and the Sun might likely be communicating with each other and referred to a blog post she wrote a few years ago.

On November 26, 2019, Fahrusha welcomed Dr. Gregory Shushan to “Shattered Reality Podcast”. He is an expert on the subject of NDEs (Near-Death Experiences) over time and cultures. He is the author of two books, Near-Death Experience in Indigenous Religions and Conceptions of the Afterlife in Early Civilizations. Fahrusha has been dismayed over the narrow view of near-death experiences which are held by certain religious groups. In speaking with Dr. Shushan she hoped to uncover what features of NDEs are common over cultures and over time, thinking perhaps there could be some ecumenical agreement. Dr. Shushan rose to the occasion explaining how although there are cultural differences, often experiencers return to life having been healed, with new abilities, or bringing comfort to their communities.

On September 17, 2019 Susan Demeter St.Clair joined Fahrusha on “Shattered Reality Podcast” to speak about UFOs and the folklore of the strange. Susan is a native of Ontario, Canada who is currently residing in Northern Italy. She is a researcher on the UFO phenomena and on European and Native American paranormal folklore especially the Italian Benandanti. The Benandanti were from the Friuli region of Italy of north eastern Italy, although it is thought that the tradition was probably very widespread in slightly varying forms in much of agrarian, Pre-Christian Europe. Meaning literally “the good walkers”, members participated in out of body travels on a number of Thursdays to war against evil forces that might destroy crops. They were also healers. They were viciously persecuted as heretics by the Roman Inquisition.

Varying possible explanations for UFOs and for the famous Philip Experiment (Canada) were discussed. Our interview with Dr. Jim McClenon also mentions the Philip Experiment in the context of the SORRAT Group. Susan was kind enough to share with us her personal UFO experiences that changed the course of her life.

Towards the end of the episode, Fahrusha read an amazing account from a longtime listener who had a life changing UFO experience in western New York State. The listener requested to remain anonymous, something that we at “Shattered Reality Podcast will always respect. On June 18, 2019 Fahrusha welcomed Romanian scientist and author Dan Farcas, PhD to “Shattered Reality Podcast”. We discussed his latest book, Hypercivilizations: An Answer to ET Contacts on Earth. The approach of the book is a synthesis of many years of thought and study in various allied areas of scientific analysis as regards possible extraterrestrial civilizations. His conclusions are well researched and I recommend that listeners take the time to understand what is being said.

Additionally we discussed artificial intelligence, tall blonde humanoids and the importance of love (in the sense of agape) and good will. He asserts that alien intelligence may be billions of years beyond us and must be benevolent. There are 11 chapters in the book, any of which could yield an hour long discussion for “Shattered Reality Podcast”.

Our Listeners’ Corner featured Christopher Rex speaking about a powerful near death experience (NDE) he had as a teenager in New Braunfels, Texas. He was swimming in a dangerous location with friends and drowned. Listeners will find this account quite compelling.

On March 26, 2019, Fahrusha interviewed Kate, a loquacious and interesting “Shattered Reality Podcast” listener, about her anomalous experiences in Hudson County, New Jersey. Closer to Manhattan than many parts of the five boroughs of New York City, Hudson County is steeped in its own legends and paranormal happenings. This is a short interview focused on Kate’s family experiences with the world of spiritual after-death contact. We also briefly cover a UFO flap of the ’60s. Think of Budd Hopkins’ recounting of the UFO landing in the park on Boulevard East, it is the same flap.

The interview is relatively short, but we think you will enjoy it. Strangely Kate’s story somewhat mirrors the experiences of another listener we interviewed, June Ponte, from Hudson County.

#75 Eric Wargo Precognition

Fahrusha welcomed Eric Wargo, author of Time Loops and The Nightshirt blog to “Shattered Reality Podcast.” Time Loops is an intensive look at precognition. Dr. Wargo covers premonitions, presentiments and dreams. He believes that precognition, literally “knowing ahead”, is a product of retrocausation. Retrocausation is a theory in physics wherein the effect precedes its cause. This is a radical and fairly new idea that is gaining more acceptance. Simply put, the future affects the present and the past, creating a loop in time. It fits into the logic that time can move backwards as well as forwards as postulated in theoretical physics. Because we are biological entities who seem to move only one way in time inexorably from birth to death, it is difficult to imagine that causation can move in the opposite direction. Yet in terms of theoretical physics this should be possible.

Quantum computing apparently uses retrocausation in its functioning.

Remote viewing, specifically associative remote viewing relies entirely on retrocausation. One is pre-cognizing the outcome of a sports game, for instance.

Almost one hundred years ago, J.W. Dunne wrote a seminal book on precognitive dreams, An Experiment with Time, which changed the way of thinking about prescient dreams and introduced to the public the idea of retrocausality to precognition. Eric told us of a “Dunne” dream he had about 9/11 involving two identical square concrete mosques. After Eric signed off, Fahrusha read the 9/11 accounts from listeners Mark, Nurse Nancy, Suzanne Evans Morris, Ph.D., and intuitive Greg; and related some of her own experiences in an abbreviated form.

Avrel Seale is a seasoned writer who lives in Texas and has an abiding interest in Sasquatch (also known as Bigfoot). A father of three Boy Scouts, he is an avid and observant hiker. He believes he has found substantive evidence of the creature in Sam Houston National Forest an hour north of Houston. For his fiftieth birthday he decided to hike the full length of the Lone Star Trail by himself in search of the elusive hominid. His book Monster Hike: A 100-Mile Inquiry Into the Sasquatch Mystery (Anomalist Books) chronicles this adventure. In addition to Bigfoot he has written about the history of the area and the other natural features and creatures that abound there.
