#97 Entities or Schizophrenia?

Jerry Marzinsky, BA and M.Ed.

To listen click HERE.

On December 3, 2019 Fahrusha was pleased to welcome Jerry Marzinsky to “Shattered Reality Podcast”. Jerry has been a licensed psychotherapist with over 35 years of experience working with schizophrenic and other psychiatric patients in state hospitals, state prisons, and hospital emergency rooms. His formal academic training comprises a B.A. in Psychology from Temple University, a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Georgia, and two years of study in a Ph.D. Psychology program.

We discussed the history of the treatment of patients classified as mentally ill and specifically those currently classified as paranoid schizophrenics. It seems they have mostly not been cured by psychiatry and they have been given the most incredibly barbaric treatments over the course of time. Currently they are treated with electro-shock therapy and anti-psychotic drugs. The electro-shock therapy burns out brain cells and can cause bone breakage, especially in older patients. Anti-psychotic drugs can be very useful to stop a violent outburst and may reverse schizophrenia if used at the earliest sign of the condition, but it is very dulling and has many side effects with continuing usage. Psychiatry claims that paranoid schizophrenia is caused by a chemical imbalance, yet Jerry says that in all his years of work with these patients, none of them were ever tested for this imbalance.

After years of asking these patients why they would go off their medication, he discovered that the voices that the patients heard had much in common with each other. Then he began speaking not only with the patients but with the voices, which he believes are separate entities. He is joined in this belief by Emmanuel Swedenborg. Robert Monroe of the Monroe Institute spoke often about discarnate entities that live off the emotions of others. Don Miguel Ruiz, the world renowned Mexican shaman also speaks of this possession by entities. Jerry Marzinsky’s research partner is Sherry Swiney.

Errata: Jerry mentioned someone receiving a Pulitzer Prize; it was actually a Nobel Prize.

#81 Rupert Sheldrake- Science and Spiritual Practices.

Rupert Sheldrake, author

Rupert Sheldrake, PhD, Author of 12 books including Science and Spiritual Practices:Transformative Experiences and their Effects on our Bodies, Brains and Health

Fahrusha was very pleased to welcome Rupert Sheldrake, PhD, to “Shattered Reality Podcast” to speak about his new book Science and Spiritual Practices:Transformative Experiences and their Effects on our Bodies, Brains and Health and other related topics. We began our conversation with an explanation of the hypothesis of morphic resonance in biology.

We continued onward to expound on the seven rather universal spiritual practices that can have transformative effects on one’s mental and physical health. Most basic of these practices is meditation, the sort which can silence the mind’s chatter and promote joy. Next comes gratitude which can be practiced as prayer, grace before meals, or simply earnestly thanking individuals for small or large acts that they have done.

“More than human” is the practice in which a person relates to the 99.9999% percent of the Universe which is not human or about human beings. This is probably my favorite. A sub-category is relating to plants as living beings. These first four practices can be accomplished solo, but Sheldrake is clear about the way in which doing things in community with others brings added benefits to the practioner.

Among the group practices are the practice of rituals with other humans, although it is possible to do some rituals solo. Singing, chanting and music have amazing effect on the human being and the benefits are multiplied when groups participate together. Going on pilgrimages and visiting holy places can be done alone or with a group. The practice of walking meditation is one that bridges both the category of meditation and pilgrimage.

Rupert Sheldrake, PhD, is the author of 13 books including his newest: Ways to Go Beyond and Why They Work: Seven Spiritual Practices in a Scientific Age which is only on order currently in the UK.

Errata: During the introduction to this episode of “Shattered Reality Podcast” Fahrusha mistakenly said that it was the 82nd episode when in fact it was the 81st.

Any listeners to “Shattered Reality Podcast” are welcomed and encouraged to submit the names of thoughtful researchers into the Mandela Effect to be possible guests on the show.

#51 Dr. Michael Reddy, Songs, Family Constellations and Shamanism

Dr. Michael Reddy

To listen CLICK HERE.

On July 11, 2017 Kate Valentine and Fahrusha welcomed Dr. Michael J. Reddy to “Shattered Reality Podcast.” We started the show with two of the entertaining “Keynoter” songs that Michael has written and sung at several professional conferences to help set themes and introduce main speakers. They are both about current changing paradigms.

Then we turned to Michael’s practice of Family Constellation Work. As he says, “there are two kinds of trauma—the one you experience yourself, and the sort you inherit from parents and ancestors who could not clear it themselves.” This heritable form of trauma is supported increasingly now by epigentics, but it remains present in and passes down through a psychic, transgenerational family system. He maintains that left over loyalties to unresolved issues in your birth family’s past can shape your life for the worse and that constellation work clears these. Michael credits the work with saving his life in 2008.

Michael’s book on the subject is Health, Happiness & Family Constellations, How Ancestors, Family Systems and Hidden Loyalties Shape Your Life and What You Can Do About It. To see what a constellation looks like, check out the 15 minute video at www.tinyurl.com/constellation3d.

Finally we discussed Michael’s 7 year apprenticeship with native and mixed blood indigenous teachers from 1986-93. One of these teachers was the late Sun Bear, a controversial Ojibwe elder who espoused sharing the traditional medicine with all races. Our co-host Fahrusha also had an interesting experience with Sun Bear when he visited the yoga studio she attended. In shamanic terms, successful constellations start to look like divination followed by sympathetic magic. Michael can be contacted through www.reddyworks.com, michael@reddyworks.com.

Rosalyn Berne Horse Whisperer #31

Listen here.

Rosalyn Berne’s life has been filled with mystical experiences throughout, but by far her most unusual gift to date has been her ability to communicate with horses. She is in fact a genuine horse whisperer.

Kate Valentine and Fahrusha, both animal lovers and communicators themselves, were pleased to be able to speak to Rosalyn Berne about her unusual gift. What makes Rosalyn different from other animal communicators is her unique ability, on occasion, to elicit complex and abstract thoughts from her equine companions. Most good animal communicators are able to understand the creature with whom they are interfacing well enough to determine the creature’s feelings, needs, likes and dislikes, and their traumas and illnesses. Receiving abstract thoughts about other subjects is highly unusual.

Something that I (Fahrusha) forgot to mention during the podcast is that the word for little horse in Schwitzer Deutsch (Swiss German) is Rösli and the name Roselind refers not to roses in its derivation but to being a horse woman. Coincidence?

She is the author of four books and is working on a fifth. Her two published works on her mystical life and her equine communication abilities are Waking to Beauty: Encounters with Remarkable Beings (2016) and When the Horses Whisper (2014). In addition Dr. Berne is a professor in the field of Science, Technology, & Society (STS) at the University of Virginia.

# 2 Walking Through Walls with Philip Smith and his father Lew Smith

https://soundcloud.com/fahrusha/shattered-reality-podcast-2

Our second podcast features author and artist Philip Smith speaking about his book Walking Through Walls, his father psychic healer Lew Smith, and his art. Philip Smith, a recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts Award and former managing editor of GQ Magazine joins us to tell about growing up with his well known father. His book is a must read for all students of things psychic and mystical. In addition, it is a well written and sometimes humorous account of life in Miami during the fifties and sixties. I could feel the spirit of his father coming through Philip’s words during the interview.
