On February 11, 2020, Kevin B. Turner of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies joined Fahrusha to speak about Asian shamanism. Though born in Arizona, USA, Kevin has lived in Asia for over 20 years and currently has a shamanic healing practice in Bali, Indonesia and Kyoto, Japan. He has written the informative book Sky Shamans of Mongolia: Meetings with Remarkable Healers.

The shamans in present-day Mongolia are plentiful and most fall within three general traditions: the Khalkhs (the ethnic majority in Mongolia whose shamans have been somewhat influenced by Buddhism), the Buryat (inside northern Mongolia and across the Russian Federation border in the Republic of Buryatia and influenced by Siberian shamanism) and the Darkhad (from the remote region of Khuvsgul and perhaps the most original form of Mongolian shamanism). Kevin visited members of all of these groups. He received a remarkable healing and was tested as a shaman, as a result of which he participated in amazing and arcane rituals.

Shamanism is widely practiced around the world but is most prevalent in places wherein the inhabitants are animists. Animism is the belief that natural objects, natural phenomena, and the universe itself possess souls and the belief that natural objects have souls that may exist apart from their material bodies. Shamanism is not a religion but a practice of Magick.

Fahrusha is facilitating a dreamwork course lead by Dale E. Graff, a physicist and a former Director of the D.I.A.’s Project STARGATE (remote viewing) at Fallbrook Farms in Geneseo, NY scheduled for July 16-19, 2020.

#91 Dale E. Graff on Remote Viewing and Dreams

Dale E. Graff, author, engineer, physicist, contract manager for Project Stargate and prodigious dreamer

Fahrusha was thrilled to welcome Dale E. Graff to Shattered Reality Podcast. For several years she has been an appreciative audience to his presentations at symposia of IRVA (International Remote Viewing Association) APP (Applied Precognition Project) and SSE (Society for Scientific Exploration). Dale is the author of two books: Tracks In The Psychic Wilderness (1998) and River Dreams (2000) as well as numerous papers.

Dale E. Graff is a physicist (Drexel) and an aeronautical engineer (Pennsylvania State University). He helped design the Gemini Space Capsule and did pre-planning for the space shuttle. He is an avid outdoorsman who has navigated many Canadian rivers in a canoe, this in spite of having been born a premature baby who was declared dead upon arrival. He was totally determined to defy the odds and still displays great vitality today as he approaches his 85th birthday.

Even as a small child he was a prodigious dreamer and had out of body experiences. After elementary school he began his serious interest in science, which eventually took him to Wright-Paterson Air Force Base where he wrote a forecast document on the Soviet use of ESP research. Through a synchronicity, this led him to become first a contract manager and later a tasker for government remote viewing projects including Project Stargate which he named.

Today Dale E. Graff is retired from that work, but ardently pursuing dream research and asking important questions about the nature of consciousness. We at Shattered Reality Podcast are hoping to have Dale back soon for Part 2, which will focus on dreaming, the nature of consciousness and how to dream more proficiently.

Note: The anti-fragility proponent mentioned by Fahrusha is Wim Hof.

Listeners who wish to participate in our “Listeners’ Corner” feature are asked to contact Fahrusha (fahrusha@fahrusha.com) and put “Listeners’ Corner” in subject heading.

Third Eye Spies is the new movie from the father of remote viewing Russell Targ and film maker Lance Mungia

On May 14, 2019, Fahrusha was very pleased to welcome physicist Russell Targ and filmmaker Lance Mungia to “Shattered Reality Podcast” to discuss their film Third Eye Spies. The film chronicles the story of the government’s remote viewing program with emphasis on viewer Pat Price and the role of physicists Russell Targ and Hal Puthoff. Many accounts of events in and around the movie were discussed that were absolutely fascinating. Many of the people discussed in the film are still in the forefront of psi research today while others remain totally anonymous. What actually happened to the amazing Pat Price is still something of a mystery, since there a number of conflicting narratives regarding his death. The film is available for sale through the website, and on rental and download from Amazon, iTunes, and other vendors.

Sad note: Yesterday the world of ufology lost a legend, nuclear physicist Stanton T. Friedman. Rest In Peace. He was a very approachable and friendly man whose contribution the study of anomalous aerial phenomena. I feel privileged to have met him and spoken to him several times.

Errata: This is the 87th “Shattered Reality Podcast” not the 89th.

#75 Eric Wargo Precognition

Time Loops by Eric Wargo

To listen click HERE

Fahrusha welcomed Eric Wargo, author of Time Loops and The Nightshirt blog to “Shattered Reality Podcast.” Time Loops is an intensive look at precognition. Dr. Wargo covers premonitions, presentiments and dreams. He believes that precognition, literally “knowing ahead”, is a product of retrocausation. Retrocausation is a theory in physics wherein the effect precedes its cause. This is a radical and fairly new idea that is gaining more acceptance. Simply put, the future affects the present and the past, creating a loop in time. It fits into the logic that time can move backwards as well as forwards as postulated in theoretical physics. Because we are biological entities who seem to move only one way in time inexorably from birth to death, it is difficult to imagine that causation can move in the opposite direction. Yet in terms of theoretical physics this should be possible.

Quantum computing apparently uses retrocausation in its functioning.

Remote viewing, specifically associative remote viewing relies entirely on retrocausation. One is pre-cognizing the outcome of a sports game, for instance.

Almost one hundred years ago, J.W. Dunne wrote a seminal book on precognitive dreams, An Experiment with Time, which changed the way of thinking about prescient dreams and introduced to the public the idea of retrocausality to precognition. Eric told us of a “Dunne” dream he had about 9/11 involving two identical square concrete mosques. After Eric signed off, Fahrusha read the 9/11 accounts from listeners Mark, Nurse Nancy, Suzanne Evans Morris, Ph.D., and intuitive Greg; and related some of her own experiences in an abbreviated form.

We sincerely hope Kate Valentine will be with us for our next exciting podcast.

#53 Lucina Stone “Santa Muerte” Novel

Lucina Stone, author of novel “Santa Muerte” and “Shattered Reality Podcast” listener.

Kate Valentine and Fahrusha are proud to welcome listener and author Lucina Stone to “Shattered Reality Podcast”. She is the author of the Daniela Story series of young adult fiction. The first book of the series is called Santa Muerte and was inspired by our show “Shattered Reality Podcast”, and more specifically by the episodes dealing with Mexico. Lucina is an avid listener to our podcast. We are elated to have inspired someone to the degree that they felt impelled to write a series of books!

Lucina, from Morris County, New Jersey, was the 2016 winner of two awards of the prestigious International Latino Book Awards for Best Sci/Fi novel and Best New Author. Santa Muerte- The Daniela Story (Story Merchant Books Press, 2016 release) tackles diversity in science fiction and fantasy by using folklore and culture.  She holds a MA in Clinical Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor.

On this episode we discuss the genesis of this novel. Lucina paid attention to her dreams, which gave her some ideas for the novel. Her novel is very inclusive giving important roles within it to women, Latinas and LGBT people. We here at “Shattered Reality Podcast” support inclusivity, especially as we are both women. Much of the story is about the relationship between mothers and daughters as cultures change through time and country, but there are some surprising science fiction plot twists that will amaze the reader.

Note: Fahrusha mentioned Carlos Castaneda, the Yaqui shaman Don Juan, and the female followers of Castaneda, but could not remember the name of the one whose books she had read and found intriguing. That woman was Florinda Donner, who was actually married for Castaneda for a number of years and member of a Nagual group that surrounded him, including also Taisha Abelar. “They were known as the witches, and two of them, Florinda Donner-Grau and Taisha Abelar, vanished the day after Castaneda’s death, along with Cleargreen president Amalia Marquez and Tensegrity instructor Kylie Lundahl. A few weeks later, Patricia Partin, Castaneda’s adopted daughter as well as his lover, also disappeared.” (From the Salon article by Robert Marshall.)

#42 Psychic Experiences of Psi Explorers

In this podcast episode #42, Kate Valentine and Fahrusha speak to two Psi Explorers and one listener about their personal psychic experiences.

Russell Targ and Fahrusha at the 2016 SSE Symposium (courtesy of Rosanna Schaffer-Shaw)

First up is Russell Targ, formerly of the Stanford Research Institute, and one of the originators of remote viewing. His two stories of his own precognitive dreams are thought-provoking. He emphasizes that psychic dreams and other psi phenomena are normal and these experiences can be had by anyone. We just need to be attentive to them.

Russell Targ’s latest book The of Reality of ESP, A Physicist’s Proof of Psychic Abilities is an excellent book explaining several different but related psi abilities and substantial examples from his professional experience. A trailer for his movie about the history of the US government’s Remote Viewing program and his participation in it can be seen at the website thirdeyespies.com.

Dr. Michael Grosso, author of "The Man Who Could Fly"

Dr. Michael Grosso, author of “The Man Who Could Fly”

Next up is Dr. Michael Grosso who tells two stories from his own collection of personal psychic experiences. The first is the story of a beautiful Christmas miracle (I can’t tell you more because that would be a spoiler) and the second is a precognitive dream he had as a child. His most recent book is The Man Who Could Fly: St. Joseph of Copertino and the Mystery of Levitation.

Listener Peter completes this episode with a very strange ghostly experience he had at the illustrious old Hotel Del Coronado in California in the early 1990’s.

Notes: During the episode Fahrusha mentioned an opinion piece on her blog which was reprinted by George Filer on Filer’s Files. We want to also thank Ken Pfeifer for also reprinting it. The article is called Extraterrestrial Evolution.
